1932 Lincoln Car
For the Fortune 500 Only - 1932 Lincoln KB Sport
Phaeton
So Authentic Even the Top is Fabric
As soon as you receive this 1:18 scale precision
die-cast replica, the quality will jump out at
you. First, hold it in both hands, because it
weighs well over 3 pounds. Both the wire wheels
and windshield are photo etched. The interior
is fully carpeted with leather-look upholstery.
The dual cowl can be up or down. If ever a die
cast replica illustrated the luxury and elegance
of the greatest era of American automobile manufacturing,
it is this 1932 Lincoln KB Sport Phaeton.
Lincoln's Finest Hour
It's ironic that the most beautiful cars ever
were produced during the worst depression in American
history. Despite sales falling to a small fraction
of 1928 figures, Edsel Ford, President of the
Lincoln division of Ford, forged ahead in 1932
by introducing the 12-cylinder KB series. Putting
quality and engineering ahead of price, the 1932
V-12s were priced lower than the 1931 V-8s. Even
so, only 1532 were sold. The Dual Cowl Sports
Phaeton, with a body by Murphy, was the unquestioned
#1 style of the year. Only 30 were made, costing
$4500 each. Today these Milestone Classics would
cost at least $125,000
