The 1964 Galaxie Sedan was an extremely popular
style with over 200,000 made at $2765. Like all
1964 Fords, it was totally restyled. This new
restyling was so popular that Motor Trend named
the entire Ford line as its Car of the Year. Although
the V-8 engine was smaller than the 1958 one at
only 289 cubic inches, advancements in technology
had increased horsepower to 271.
